Student Travel Grant Information

With generous support from New York University (NYU) at Abu Dhabi, ICCD 2019 will offer travel grants for students to defray a portion of their travel cost (registration, hotel, and/or airline tickets). The size and number of these grants will vary depending on funding availability, the number of student applicants, and their respective priority. Grant awards will be made before the early registration deadline, and more information about applying for this grant will be posted on the ICCD webpage. Note that having a paper published at ICCD is not a requirement for getting a travel grant. Each paper must have at least one full-registration. Complimentary registrations (for students) will be potentially granted to fully-registered papers (e.g., through advisor) by applying for registration waiver through the travel grant application. We encourage students from under-represented groups to apply.

Information about student travel grants:
  • Recipients do not need to be authors/presenters to qualify for a travel grant.
  • Student Travel Grant Application Deadline: September 16, 2019
  • Notification of Acceptance: September 25, 2019

How to apply for student travel grant:
  • Student applicants should use this online form to apply for an ICCD student travel grant.
  • Student applicants also need to ask their thesis advisor to send an e-mail to Amro Awad (amro.awad@ucf.edu) with the subject line "ICCD Student Travel Status Confirmation for ", stating that you are a full-time student pursuing an MS/Ph.D. or an undergraduate researcher in the areas covered by ICCD. The advisor is also welcome to comment on the potential broader impact of making an award to you, e.g., if you belong to an underrepresented group, or if the candidate is unable to attend without a substantial travel grant.
  • The confirmation email from advisors must be received by the same deadline. Your application is considered incomplete without it.
